02 — About

A youth and community network making a safe space for dialogue and initiative.

A youth and community network that seeks to strengthen young women and men’s participation in peace and security issues, and to link their role to practical tools such as mediation, dialogue, advocacy, and building community initiatives.

The network works to create a safe and organised space for young people from different backgrounds, so that they can exchange experiences, develop skills, think collectively, and launch initiatives that help address the challenges facing local communities.

The network starts from the belief that young people are not only a group affected by conflict, but an essential part of the solution, capable of leading change, building trust, and contributing to policies and initiatives that strengthen community peace and security.

What makes the network distinctive?

The Youth, Peace and Security Network is distinctive in that it connects practical training, dialogue, mediation, advocacy and the development of initiatives. It does not stop at raising awareness; it seeks to turn knowledge into local practices and initiatives that respond to community needs.

The network also focuses on moving young people from the position of beneficiaries to that of partners and leaders, by involving them in discussion, planning, implementation and evaluation.
