ACT continues to strengthen peacebuilding through mediation training with the support of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs

Ramallah, September 2025 – ACT concluded an intensive training course entitled “Mediation Basics”, as part of its ongoing “Mediation as a Tool for Peacebuilding” project and with the support of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.
The training aims to enable socially active young people to acquire practical skills in managing and resolving conflicts in peaceful and constructive ways grounded in dialogue and mutual understanding. Over three days of interactive sessions in Ramallah, participants learned about the basic principles and stages of mediation and applied negotiation, communication and problem-solving techniques through practical exercises simulating real-life situations.
The activity forms part of ACT’s continuing efforts to strengthen a culture of mediation and dialogue as central tools for building sustainable peace in Palestinian society. It also reflects the organisation’s commitment, in cooperation with its international partners, to spreading the values of tolerance and mutual understanding and to encouraging peaceful solutions to conflicts.
