The Mediators and Peacebuilders Network in Palestine examines in Ramallah ways of turning community challenges into practical, sustainable initiatives

Ramallah – 13 June 2026: ACT for Conflict Resolution held the fifth meeting of the Mediators and Peacebuilders Network in Palestine in the city of Ramallah, within the context of the “Mediation as a Tool for Peacebuilding” project. The meeting, which lasted two hours and was attended by 17 members of the network, aimed to enable members to develop practical community ideas and initiatives grounded in the principles of dialogue and social solidarity in order to address current challenges across the various Palestinian governorates.

The meeting opened with an in-depth discussion of the situation of local communities and the most vulnerable groups, as well as conditions in the West Bank refugee camps and the learning loss and economic and security burdens they face.

For their part, participants stressed the importance of providing practical spaces that allow young people to develop advocacy initiatives responding to the priorities of Palestinian society and strengthening their participation in decision-making and peacebuilding processes. These activities fall within the “Mediation as a Tool for Peacebuilding” project, implemented by ACT for Conflict Resolution as part of efforts to strengthen a culture of dialogue, mediation and community peacebuilding in Palestine.
